Kunst mit hohem Wiedererkennungswert

Kraftvoll, ästhetisch und voll von Energie – so beschreibt Künstlerin Heike Cornelissen ihre Werke auf der "Jet Black"-Vernissage im Hamburger Hotel "Le Méridien" an der Alster. Zwischen Wein und delikaten Miniburgern präsentiert die Künstlerin erstmals ihre Bilder und Skulpturen in der Hansestadt. Heike Cornelissen schafft nicht einfach nur Kunst, die schön anzusehen ist, sie zeigt "Tiere, bei denen man die Kraft einfangen kann", so Cornelissen. Kein Wunder also, dass sich größtenteils starke Tiere wie Löwen, Stiere und Widder auf ihren farbreichen Leinwänden wiederfinden. Besonders stolz ist die Künstlerin aus Leverkusen aber auf ihre Skulpturen, an denen sie seit zehn Jahren arbeitet: Besonderes Highlight und Cornelissens ganzer Stolz? "Das liegende Tier" – eine kleine Skulptur, kaum größer als eine Hand, die ganze zwei Kilogramm wiegt und jeder in die Hand nehmen durfte.

 "Either - or" Vernissage Insight from Vienna

The "entweder - oder" vernissage hosted by Juergen Norbert Fux and Heike Cornelissen in the new vibrant gallery "Die Schoene" in Vienna. The gallery "Die Schoene" launched last Wednesday for the first time as a gallery and invited everyone who is into art and interested in exploring new artists, we're invited to join them to a total different Kind of Vernissage. The gallery itself is based within the 16th District in Vienna, close to the Ottakringer brewery - a unique location in an untouched area within the art scene in Vienna. The exhibiting artists Juergen Norbert Fux and Heike Cornelissen presented their newest artwork and the atmosphere was just static. I really enjoyed the new re-design in this old tixtile factory hall. Adding totally new Flair by using self-created "Pixel" - Lounges combined with "Ja-Mi" lightning clothing dolls and People who walked around, completely black dressed which was supposed to be a "shade" of the art. A quircky concept that impredded me in a positive way.

I personally loved the contrast between the two exhibiting artists. However, I do have to say, both of them use different artistic styles, but do have one element in common - "powerful artwork". Regardless if it was a colourful painting, photography or sculptures made out of bronze – all of them created this strong feeling of energy inside me, when entering the room. 

Walking through the two different kinds of artworks, in this unique, old factory hall was a total new experience for me. You could just let yourself guide you with all those artworks through the hall.

Heike Cornelissen - "There ist no display and no form of expression within art, which can't be seen or felt by us human."

A little bit about the artist: Heike who came just for this Vernissage to Vienna from Leverkusen, wanted to show her art the first time in Austria. Her artworks are focusing on animals with a strong character. Just looking through her works – you will start embracing a strong and positive energy.  Her art fundamental are the nature and environment that surrounds her. In her art, she wants to represent the inner life within her sculptures and not focusing on the shallow outside. She told me, that for her it’s important to touch her bronze sculpture to be able to get this strong feeling. For her it is important to show, that her art creates energy and makes you feel comfortable around it.  Even the material used, bronze, which is basically already that kind of material that needs to be touched in order to understand it, as just looking at her art doesn't give you the entire experience and feeling which the artist aims to communicate.

 Wesen eines liegenden Tieres:

Diese beiden Arbeiten stellen zeichenhaft die Gestalt eines ruhenden Tieres dar. Die Form ist so stark abstrahiert, dass sie schematisch absolut klar und auf die größtmögliche Grundform reduziert ist. In beiden Arbeiten sind nur Andeutungen von Kopf, Körper und Vordergliedmaßen zu erkennen. In sich sind die Skulpturen kompakt und geschlossen.

Das kleine Format unterstreicht die Konzentration auf das Wesentliche und ermöglicht es, die Skulptur mit beiden Händen zu "begreifen".

Das Ertasten eines dreidimensionalen Objektes, das Fühlen und Erfahren der Ausgewogenheit ist für mich ein wichtiger Bestandteil während des Entstehungsprozesses meiner Skulpturen. Die fertige Arbeit soll auch vom Betrachter in die Hand genommen werden, damit die intensive Kraft der Objekte, das Gewicht, die Kühle des Materials und die Form gespürt und erfahren werden können.
